Artists, philosophers, and scientists have shared a fascination with the oceans for thousands of years. Interest in oceanic art-science collaborations is more recent, and it’s growing rapidly as a way to build stronger relationships between science, society, and the sea.
The Johnson Center for Marine Conservation is developing innovative initiatives at the art-science nexus that aim to push the boundaries of how we understand, experience, and communicate about marine conservation.
