The Miami ResilientSea project is a holistic initiative that unites science, education, and grassroots action to advance climate resilience across Miami-Dade County. Spearheaded by the University of Miami and partners including The CLEO Institute, Black Women in Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Science, Rescue a Reef program, Robert K. Johnson Center for Marine Conservation, Debris Free Oceans, Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, and Miami Waterkeeper, this project addresses urgent climate and environmental challenges through inclusive engagement, ecological restoration and conservation, citizen science, and community empowerment
